Duelo Colectivo (Collective Mourning) is a participatory anti monument dedicated to

victims of feminicide and gender based violence worldwide. Constructed from fragile and

recycled materials, the work evolves through public participation. During the intervention,

visitors are invited to contribute names, messages, memories, and testimonies,

transforming the structure into a living collective archive.

Rooted in the context of feminicide in Mexico while connecting to broader global realities

of gender based violence, the project creates a space for remembrance, mourning,

resistance, and solidarity. Rather than offering a fixed monument, Duelo Colectivo remains

open, unfinished, and continually reshaped by those who take part.
